Mathias Dahlgren at the Grand Hôtel Stockholm.
"Mathias’s food philosophy of creating the new Swedish identity, being proud of its heritage whilst open to new experiences, was our starting point. Studioilse’s design expresses this new concept, physically and emotionally, sensorially and subliminally. The Matsalen (dining room) and the Matbaren (food bar) are two spaces that can be smelt, heard and felt in very different ways." Ilse Crawford
The entrance features a gold gilded screen by Studio Job.

For studioilse – An extendable table where there's always a place for unexpected guests

*
"Joining the family of Seating for Eating, (settles, benches and stools), is the Together table, an extendable piece where there’s always a place for unexpected guests. The table, made in solid chestnut with copper feet, sits comfortably with Seating for Eating or independently holds its own. When unextended, the table is rectangular, hiding the rounded drop leaves underneath. The rounded ends invite people to move up and get snug. A table to eat, drink, work or play.
Made in solid chestnut, using sustainable resources, the table has copper feet, with copper trim on the tabletop. Unextended, the table seats 6-8, and extended around a dozen. The Together table and Seating for Eating reflect Studioilse and De La Espada’s commitment to the integrity of natural materials, high quality craftsmanship and products that form a personal relationship with the user." studioilse

A place to feel protected and to celebrate my own tea ritual.

My teahouse has a long and narrow shape built of wooden stripes. Around the entrance, the walls are almost closed and the roof is low. To the other end the walls gradually open up, the construction fades into the nature and the roof rises up. Inside one steps up and takes a seat on the floor.
The necessary tools to prepare tea are hidden in a box under the floor. The floorboards form the lid of the box.
